10 Movies You Won't Believe Turn 10 Years Old In 2016

5. Talladega Nights

For those who grew up on Will Ferell-starring comedies, this is bound to make you feel old €“ his NASCAR racing movie Talladega Nights will be ten years old when we reach September 2006. Kicking And Screaming, Old School, Anchorman and Elf are even older. Of all the Will Ferell sports comedies, Talladega Nights made the most money at the American box office. It€™s quite easy to see why, as well. While the shtick had worn a bit thin for the formulaic-feeling Semi-Pro and Blades Of Glory that followed, Talladega Nights was still a unique and refreshing proposition back in 2006. Also, it€™s the first movie that gave us the sidesplitting combination of Ferell and John C. Reilly working together. Before they were Stepbrothers co-stars, the pair were shaking and baking as the bromantic racing duo-turned-rivals Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. Sacha Baron Cohen was far more amusing as the French villain Jean Girard as he is these days, as well. Surprisingly enough, the racing action is handled very well, too. Director Adam McKay really proved his mettle, offering up thrilling rides and possibly the longest car-rolling sequence in cinematic history. But still, it still makes me feel ancient that this movie is ten years old.
