10 Performances That Changed Your Mind About Actors You Hate In 2017

2. Andrew Garfield - Breathe

Johnny Depp Murder On The Orient Express
Bleecker Street

Andrew Garfield is gradually shedding his reputation as a horribly miscast Peter Parker, and his inspirational portrayal of disability activist Robin Cavendish will blow Amazing Spider-Man 2 out of your brain for good.

Not every critic was bowled over by Breathe, but none could deny that the powerful chemistry between Garfield and his co-star Claire Foy alone makes it worth a watch.

The role of a quadriplegic was challenging, but Garfield rose to the demands despite having limited physical tools at his disposal. His authentic portrayal gives the audience insight into what it's like learning to master the art of speech by regulating air flow.

Garfield's masterful use of body language, eye contact and dialogue is the strongest aspect of Andy Serkis's directorial debut.
