10 Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Changed Everything

8. Don't Look Up

Wild Things Post Credits
Netflix

Love it or hate it, Adam McKay's Don't Look Up goes absolutely hog wild in its two credits scenes.

The film seems to come to a hard stop when Earth is destroyed by a comet, apparently causing the extinction of the human race, save for those few "elites" who boarded a spaceship in search of a new home.

In the middle of the credits, however, we get a fun stinger set almost 23,000 years later, where said elites are woken from stasis on a gorgeous new planet.

However, President Orlean (Meryl Streep) goes to approach one of the planet's alien creatures, only for it to savagely maul her to death. Tech CEO Isherwell (Mark Rylance) then suggests that the creature is a brontoroc - the very animal he previously predicted would kill her.

And if that's not fun enough, we then see a pack of brontorocs starting to flank the rest of the elites, implying their time on this planet is going to be incredibly short-lived.

After that, we get one more scene back on Earth, revealing that Orlean's son Jason (Jonah Hill) somehow survived the comet strike and may well be the last living person on the planet.

As grim and final as the film's pre-credits ending is, these extra scenes do add some welcome karmic justice and comedic flavour to proceedings.
