3. The Green Lantern Corps Finally Get Their Due
With a TV series coming to HBO Max and a Green Lantern Corps movie revolving around Hal Jordan and John Stewart still in the works, it's beginning to feel like these space cops are finally about to get the attention they deserve. Should those projects take off, then the DC Extended Universe could very well be dominated by the galactic superheroes a decade from now.
There are literally thousands of characters movies and TV shows could be built around, and as we're talking about DC's version of Star Wars or Guardians of the Galaxy, you have to believe that focusing on the Green Lantern franchise will be a major priority for studio bosses moving into the next decade.
With that in mind, we expect 2030 to be heavy on the Green Lanterns, and while Ryan Reynolds' disastrous movie put the franchise on hold for what will eventually be a good 10+ years, the right creative team can change that and deliver a shared universe spread across the cosmos.
