10 R-Rated Characters Ruined In PG-13 Movies

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine has suffered twice from being a PG-13 character, ironically both times in solo movies.

Wolverine Origins wanted to be R-rated, and some of the violence was definitely too far, Sabretooth breaking Wraith's spine for example. It was also a missed opportunity to use Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool to what was later proven to be its best effect. Imagine that final fight if both guys were cutting, drawing blood and f-bombing.

Once is bad luck but when The Wolverine was released in two versions, one with more blood it finally showed how much Wolvie was being held back. Sure, he got some bloodless kills in X-2 for example, but as his First Class cameo and Logan proved, Jackman works best as Lohan when he can be free of censorship and draw blood, drop F-bombs and be the bad ass he was created to be.
