4. A Familiar Mutant - The Marvels

It's fair to say that The Marvels wasn't exactly the most anticipated MCU movie in the Multiverse Saga, though it certainly wound up being better than certain others that have released in Phases Four and Five. Even if only for the fact that it brought the multiverse to the screen better than almost any other film.

To say that this has been the Multiverse Saga, there hasn't been a huge amount of parallel universe exploration on the big screen outside of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, The Marvels teased one of the most exciting possible aspects of the multiverse theory.

After going through a rip in space-time, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) found herself on the other side of the portal, in a parallel universe, with a version of her mother who was not only a superhero, but didn't recognise Monica as her daughter. This would have been enough to make a fantastic post-credit scene on its own, but add in Hank McCoy? Chef's Kiss.

Not only was it Hank McCoy, it was Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy. As well as Beast, Charles Xavier was name-dropped, and the image of the famous X-shaped doors was a sight for sore eyes. The mutants have been slowly drip-fed into the MCU over the years, and this was the biggest aspect of that yet. And with the cast for Avengers: Doomsday now revealed, it would seem that this scene may end up being incredibly important.
