10 Scrapped Horror Movie Scenes Better Than What We Got

2. A Cocooned Human - Alien: Covenant

Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant is a film that doesn't get enough love.

Sure, it may contain a little too much CGI Praetomorph action, and its shocking killing off of Elizabeth Shaw was a bitter pill to swallow, but it's also a movie that contains Michael Fassbender having the time of his life as David and Walter, some stunning visuals, and a ton of properly nasty pieces of alien violence.

That being said, arguably the most compelling thing an alien organism would've been seen doing in this story was actually scrapped before shooting even began.

According to concept art revealed by Collider, there were seemingly plans at one point to show a Praetomorph cocooning what appears to be one of its victims. This was something that hadn't really ever been seen up to this point, with viewers typically only seeing the cocoons once the humans were trapped within them.

It's obviously unclear just how close this sequence was to making it into the actual film. But seeing even just a glimpse of how one of these creatures went about disgustingly wrapping up its prey would have likely been more fascinating than the majority of the other things this digital monstrosity got up to in the film.
