10 Sequels To Classic Movies You Had No Idea Existed

4. Lost Boys: The Tribe

The Lost Boys is a beloved cult movie, and it seems odd it took so long for a sequel to arrive. Lost Boys director Joel Schumacher had some ideas for one, which would have either been a prequel featuring Kiefer Sutherland€™s David, or a direct sequel titled The Lost Girls. But the years when by and Sutherland became too old to portray an immortal teenager, so those plans were scraped. Finally in 2008 Lost Boys: The Tribe arrived direct to DVD. It wasn€™t worth the wait. A cheap retread of the original, it has a teenager fighting to rescue his sister from a new group of vampires. Corey Feldman returned as Edgar Frog, with the role of the head vampire played by Angus Sutherland, Kiefer€™s half-brother. Angus has little of the movie star charisma of his brother, and it€™s hard not to feel a little embarrassed for Feldman as he tries to relive past glories. Corey Haim also makes a tiny post-credits cameo, with his character now revealed to be a vampire. This was supposed to set up a conflict between The Two Coreys for a third movie, but Haim tragically passed away before that came to pass. The Tribe tries to inject some excitement into its tired bones with gorey violence and nudity, but even with that it€™s easy to see why Warner Bros. didn€™t bother giving this a cinema release.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
