7. Snakes on a Train (Snakes on a Plane)
Granted, this is exactly the sort of premise that is going to provoke this sort of response; Snakes on a Plane was essentially the first feature film created by the Internet, such that when they made demands for reshoots to add nudity and more violence, it actually happened. The film lived up to its modest promises, but wait a minute - The Asylum, up to their usual tricks, had already released Snakes on a Train 3 days before SOAP even hit cinemas. So cheap and quick to make are these films that they were able to hear about the concept, rustle together some resources, and make the whole thing for a paltry $1m (though the film looks like it costs even less than that). How it actually managed to turn a profit is anyone's guess. Still, it's worth a watch if only for the ludicrous climactic sequence, in which the final boss snake miraculously emerges on a train track and tries to swallow the train whole. It's glorious, complete with terrible CGI and all. Shameless, but at least it raises the odd chuckle.
