10 Signs The Batman Could Be A Crushing Disappointment

9. Robert Pattinson Just Doesn't Seem To Get The Character

Not every actor who plays a superhero needs to have an expert knowledge of comic books, but it certainly helps if they at least have some understanding of who they're playing. In the case of Robert Pattinson, he certainly has some pretty controversial opinions about Batman, most of which point to a complete lack of understanding of the Dark Knight.

While the actor admits that he's been delving into the "classic" comics to prepare for the movie, he's also adamant that Batman isn't a superhero...because he doesn't have powers.

Pattinson would later take that even further by proclaiming that the character shouldn't be considered a hero because "his morality is a little bit off." Unless he's been studying Ben Affleck's killer Batman, that's simply not a statement we're able to get on board with.

While the actor was correct in saying that "there is a simplicity to [Batman's] worldview," he has a moral compass and is a good man who simply wants to eradicate crime (all while sticking to a code that separates Bruce Wayne from the criminals he pursues). If this is what Pattinson truly believes, it's hard not to worry about what he plans to bring to the role.

Josh Wilding hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
