10 Spider-Man Villains Sony Should Keep (& 10 They Should Lend To The MCU)
4. GIVE UP: Electro
After a freak lightning accident, Max Dillon became a living electrical capacitor, allowing him to manipulate electricity. A frequent member of the Sinister Six, with a few serious solo run-ins with Daredevil and the Fantastic Four, Electro belongs in Kevin Feige’s toybox.
It’s way too convenient to tie any villain’s motives back to the original Avengers, but including Electro in the MCU with Tony Stark is comic book canon. After receiving his powers, Electro stole equipment from Stark’s company to power himself.
Spider-Man: Homecoming balanced a handful of villains remarkably well, particularly in giving characters like Shocker and Tinkerer time to shine without bogged-down backstories. The Sinter Six requires such delicate juggling and adding Electro as a secondary villain is a bright idea.
Remember, the first time the Sinister Six attacked Spider-Man, they did so one at a time. Translated to the screen, this gives Electro ample time to shine before he’s webbed up.
