10 Star Wars Characters Who Only Had One Movie To Shine

7. Admiral Ackbar - Return Of The Jedi

IT€™S A TRAP! Those three words solidified Admiral Ackbar€™s notoriety in the Star Wars universe. One of the few alien Rebels to be seen on-screen, Ackbar was introduced in Return of the Jedi as one of the Rebellion's best military leaders. As commander of the Rebel fleet, Ackbar led the assault on the second Death Star expecting it to go favorably with the element of surprise on their side. Unfortunately, it was his own surprise when he discovered that the Empire was expecting them, leading him to exclaim those three words that were echoing in everyone€™s minds. Initially wanting to retreat, Ackbar maintained his cool and coordinated the Rebellion€™s defense against the Imperial forces. After the shield was deactivated, Ackbar and the remaining cruisers engaged the Star Destroyers while Lando Calrissian and several fighters flew to destroy the space station. It was Ackbar€™s idea to concentrate fire on the Super Star Destroyer, leading to one of the most epic ship crashes of all time. Despite incurring heavy casualties, the Rebels blew up the Death Star and Ackbar played an important part in that assault. Not bad for a squid head.
