8. Jesse Eisenberg
Jesse Eisenberg is an actor mostly known for having the same Michael Cera shtick we'd already grown sick of. Appearing in flicks like Zombieland and Adventureland and any number of other land based movies that you could think of. For a while, it kind of seemed like his star was going to fade out before it had ever really gotten its time to shine. But then he appeared in one of the best films of the entire decade. The Social Network is a classic and a marvel of modern cinema. Spearheaded by an impeccable script and a pitch perfect cast (which I wrote about on my other blog
here) lead by Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, The Social Network will stand the test of time as a great work. And as another example of a truly great acting performance being overlooked because the other guy was more British. But no matter how many acting snubs he received, Eisenberg will always be there to remind us that "If we were the inventors of Facebook, we'd have invented Facebook."
