The Movie: In one of Michael Bay's best films NASA discover a gigantic asteroid on a collision course with Earth. What do they do? Dig a bunch of tunnels to live in a la Deep Impact? Hell, no. They bring in the world's best deep core drillers led by Bruce Willis and shoot them into space all done with typical 'Bayhem' style that we all know and love. Tear-Jerker Moment: Parental sacrifice, heroism and Aerosmith all help make this the number one tear-jerker moment on this list as Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) chooses to be the one guy who has to remain on the asteroid and manually blow it up thus saving Earth. Before you can say 'what a guy' Harry makes a (very) long distance call to his daughter Grace (Liv Tyler) to say his last goodbyes. He tells her he loves her. He tells her that he is proud of her. He tells her to renew her mobile contract because the reception this far from Earth is brilliant. As he detonates the bomb his life flashes before his eyes as ours fill with tears.
