9. Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) - Christoph Waltz
Rotten Tomatoes: 35% The Plot: Dale, Kurt and Nick return for the follow up to the hilarious and highly-rated original, but this time theyre their own bosses. Taking the world by storm with their ingenious idea a car wash inspired bathroom accessory called the Shower Buddy they strike a deal with a seemingly good natured businessman who ends up hanging them out to dry. Left with an insurmountable amount of debt and a bad taste in their mouths, they decide to kidnap his son for ransom. Why It Sucks: It really shouldnt, thats the thing with Horrible Bosses 2. The premise is solid enough, and a hugely talented and diverse cast meant that this sequel should have been a sure success, but it really isnt. A series of aesthetically awful car chases and rambling, forgettable dialogue from a leading cast that seemed to have such a chemistry in the first outing makes for a tedious watch. The addition of the undoubtedly talented Christoph Waltz should have guaranteed success, but he seemed rather out of place. As precise as his comedic timing can be, Waltz seemed uncomfortable in his role as frugal businessman Bert Hanson, and has even admitted to struggling with keeping up with the improvisation of Bateman, Sudeikis and Day.
