10 Terrible Mistakes That Almost Ruined The X-Men Movies For Everyone

How it nearly went all so wrong.

The X-Men movie franchise has had its fair share of ups and downs but, on the whole, it has been a very successful endeavour for Fox. Starting way back in the year 2000, along with Blade two years prior, it is generally considered to be the reason that the superhero movie genre is so enormously successful today. The franchise has turned previously little-known actors like Hugh Jackman in to global superstars and boasts a plethora of top class acting talent that includes, or at least has included, the likes of Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Brian Cox, Kevin Bacon, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Peter Dinklage. As things stand, it's as strong as ever, with the hugely successful Days of Future Past currently the second highest-grossing movie of 2014 so far - having amassed a box office total of more than $741 million at the time of writing, but let's take a look at some of the things that have threatened to push it off course along the way. Here are ten terrible mistakes that almost ruined the X-Men movie franchise for everyone (contains spoilers for all X-Men movies)...
