10 Terrifying Horror Films That Will Haunt Your 2015

7. The Hallow

Release date: 2015 Recently brought on board to helm the latest remake of The Crow (exactly what audiences have been screaming out for) €“ on the recommendation of Edgar Wright, no less €“ British filmmaker Corin Hardy has yet to even make his directorial debut with The Hallow, which is due out sometime this year. And which looks absolutely terrifying. Frightening fiction might have been perfected in America and across Europe, but you can't really beat a good old classic home counties horror. Citing classics like The Evil Dead, Alien and The Thing as inspirations, Hardy's film has also drawn comparisons to the early work of Guillermo del Toro. And if you've only ever seen Pacific Rim, you don't know how flattering the comparison is. Nor will you get what a good sign that is for a horror film, because early del Toro is bloody terrifying. The Hallow stars The Awakening€™s Joseph Mawle as a conservationist who relocates his family to the idyllic Irish countryside and lives to regret it. Well, at least, in the short term, he definitely lives.
