10 Things About The DC Movie Universe That Make No Sense

5. Batman’s Battle Strategy Against Superman

The superhero smackdown between Batman and Superman is Dawn of Justice's highlight, spoiled only slightly by the moment when the two combatants make peace over the name their mothers share.

It's a set piece that really pays off, but only if you checked in your brain at the front desk before taking to your cinema seat because logic kills this battle as surely as that Kryptonite spear would have killed the Man of Steel.

It's a lengthy scrap that sees the Caped Crusader hit his opponent with all kinds of WayneTech-powered weaponry and pummel him in his armoured bat suit, but this was mostly a waste of time and resources.

That fight would have been over before it started if Batman has pulled out that Kryptonite spear to begin with. As soon as he brandished the weapon, Supes would have fallen to his knees and Bats could have stabbed him in the heart before you can say "Martha".

It's clear Batman was willing to kill his opponent when he stepped onto the battlefield, and given that he's supposed to be a master strategist, it defies logic that he didn't realise there was a much simpler way to do that.
