10 Things In Batman Movies That Make No Sense

9. Worst. Intruder Alert. Ever. - Batman Forever

Batman 1989
Warner Bros.

Mid-way through Batman Forever, Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and The Riddler (Jim Carrey) attack Wayne Manor, with The Ridder eventually discovering the Batcave and promptly laying waste to it with explosives.

But when The Riddler first enters the Batcave, an intruder alert is triggered, complete with a loud "Intruder alert!" alarm, flashing lights, and the screens on the Bat-computer powering on.

Considering that the Batcave is supposed to be a secret lair, why would it make any sense for the alert to draw attention to what's just been discovered? It'd make a ton more sense to keep the lights off and send a silent alarm directly to Bruce Wayne's phone, pager, or whatever.

That's not to ignore the ease with which The Riddler is able to use his special cane to take full control of the Batcave, even summoning the Batmobile out of the ground in mere seconds and promptly blowing the hell out of it.

Granted, this is a movie where Two-Face and The Riddler sneak into Wayne Manor's grounds with the help of some oblivious trick-or-treaters, so dissecting its logic perhaps isn't the best idea.
