10 Things You Need To Know About The New Harry Potter Film
3. The Lack Of Harry Potter Stars
Despite the fact that this film will take place in the Harry Potter universe, we won't be seeing any of the main characters from the books in this film. After all, it takes place many years before most of them would have been born, so it wouldn't exactly be easy to shoehorn in a Ron Weasley cameo or something. Dan Radcliffe has gone on record saying that it is very unlikely that he would return for the role, although he hasn't entirely ruled it out. The only way he thinks he could come back is, "if time travel rears its head again." And while that is always a possibility where JK Rowling is concerned, it seems much more probable that she would attempt to ground her film in the time period she has chosen for it, rather than muddying the waters by fast-forwarding in time. This is Harry Potter, after all, not Doctor Who.
