5. Olsen Was 22 Before She Made Her Big-Screen Debut... As The Titular Character In The Critically-Acclaimed "Martha Marcy May Marlene"
It was not until 2011 at the age of 22 that Elizabeth Olsen became a recognised actor in her own right following the release of the critically-acclaimed film "Martha Marcy May Marlene". Playing the titular character Martha - who suffered from paranoia and delusions after fleeing from a cult back to her family - Olsen was brilliant in the role and she was nominated for many awards. Nominated for 21 separate accolades in all for the role, she won six - including the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress and the Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Most-Promising Performer. Since the release of Martha Marcy May Marlene, Olsen has featured in more than a dozen big-screen productions and has grown into one of the most sought-after actors in the business.
