Carpenters been taking it easy since Ghosts Of Mars in 2001 and has spent most of the intervening years playing videogames. He blames his son for getting him into gaming with the original Sonic The Hedgehog, and hes bought and played on every game console ever made since then. His growing obsession with video game led him to provide the score for obscure PS1 game Sentinel Returns, and he also co-wrote the story of horror shooter F.E.A.R 3 with comic writer Steve Niles. He was also involved with a sadly abandoned PS2 game called Snake Plisskens Escape, which would have been an origin story for the one-eyed badass. The game was a third person shooter that would have featured Kurt Russells voice and likeness, but it was scrapped after the death of Carpenters creative partner Debra Hill; some prototype gameplay footage is all that remains of the project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qowLrZga-U
