7. Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, And Orlando Bloom Are Back...

It's obvious to say Captain Jack Sparrow will be a main player in the story of Dead Men Tell No Tales, but Captain Barbossa may just be as well; when interviewed about the movie's plot, Geoffrey Rush explained Jack and Barbossa being "at the heart of it and there's a whole new set of storylines". Given that these two are the only main characters to appear in every film, it's easy to believe Barbossa is a focal point of the story. Excitingly, Orlando Bloom has stated that producers have contacted him about a potential appearance and he thinks the plot is intriguing. By the time Dead Men Tell No Tales comes to theaters, it will have been a decade since At World's End was released, meaning (if the movies follow real time) his ten-year term of service as Davy Jones would be up. Producers have stated in the past that since Elizabeth remained faithful to him, Will is now free of his duty, but in Bloom's comments he references playing the role of Davy Jones. Will's part in the movie, or if he's even in it, will no doubt be revealed soon when filming commences in a few short weeks. Keira Knightley, the other main player of the first three, apparently either did not wish to return or wasn't even asked - could this mean Elizabeth has died, or she has moved on from Will? Even if Elizabeth doesn't appear, it's interesting to hear that Will might return.
