9. The "Spectacular" Spider-Man
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy went with just "Spider-Man" and an accompanying number, while Marc Webb's two contributions when the franchise was rebooted ended up picking the classic "Amazing" prefix. Where does that leave the reboot? "Amazing" has now been soured, but Spidey has appeared in enough titles to give them some options. Marvel's Spider-Man could have been enough, or even Peter Parker: Spider-Man was possible. However, this latest report claims that they're going for "Spectacular Spider-Man", another classic prefix associated with the character over the years. It's been a while since that was used for an ongoing series and many fans will likely think of it in relation to that popular animated series from a few years back, but neither of those possibilities are a bad thing. It's both something fresh for moviegoers and a possible reminder of a Spidey they loved.
