10 Things You Need To Know About The X-Men & Fantastic Four's MCU Future
8. John Krasinski Could Be A Top Contender For Mister Fantastic
All the signs are pointing to the Fantastic Four being a bigger priority for Marvel Studios than the X-Men right now, and that likely means their reboot will come before the X-Men. Kevin Feige alluded to them being part of their Phase 5 plans at Comic-Con last July, and we even have a top contender for the role of Mister Fantastic!
John Krasinski's name is one that's been put forward by fans for years now, and he's started openly admitting that the Fantastic Four's leader is someone he would like to play.
"That's a fantastic role. That would be awesome," he told Esquire. "Marvel wrote the playbook on secrecy and awesome sort of tantalizing lay and wait until everything's announced. I am not committed to the role or anything, but I don't know when they're doing it. But if and when they do it, I would love to talk to them about it."
Throw in the fact that his wife Emily Blunt has met with Marvel Studios, and we could finally get to see these two play Reed Richards and Sue Storm together on the big screen. Krasinski's star in on the rise too, and given what an impact he's made starring in Jack Ryan and directing A Quiet Place, he may even wind up sitting in the Director's Chair.
