10 Things You Won't See In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
2. No Love For Steve Rogers
Poor old Steve Rogers; nearing his hundredth birthday and still not so much as a dance to show for it.
Captain America is the proud heart and old-fashioned soul of the Avengers team, but he tends to roll snake eyes when it comes to matters of the heart. His burgeoning romance with Peggy Carter was put on ice at the end of The First Avenger, Natasha Romanoff puts the fatal in femme fatale, and even nice neighbour Kate turned out to be Agent 13.
And there’s not much chance of his fortunes changing in Age Of Ultron, although with Iron Man and Thor presumably flying solo this go round at least he’ll have company. Whatever frisson of flirtation passed between Cap and Black Widow in The Winter Soldier doesn’t look like going anywhere any time soon; Romanoff may, however, have a little something going on with Banner, as Ruffalo explains:
“They have a very complex relationship and the Widow seems to be the only one who can interface with the Hulk as well, and that’s an interesting relationship. As far as all the superheroes go, they’re kind of in a weird way the most similar and so there’s a lot of comfort that they find in each other. They understand each other.”
