10 Time Travel Movies To See Before You Die
6. Back To The Future
Back to the Future is everybody's go-to, feel-good time travel film - and why wouldn't it be? Christopher Lloyd's zany Doc Brown, the 1980s, the 1950s, the DeLorean and a guitar solo that you love! All this is nothing, however, without the film's lead: Michael J Fox in his enigmatic and career-making role as Marty McFly.
Marty travels back in time and, after becoming trapped due to an improbable plot involving the Doc and some Libyan terrorists, becomes trapped in 1955, accidentally makes his mother fall in love with him and starts erasing himself from the future. But who hasn't, right?
While not as technically capable as some of the other entries on this list, or as involved with big, jaw dropping visuals, Back to the Future utilises a straightforward (though not all that logical) concept of time. It helps that this is paired with a high school story of love, rivalry and fish out of water shenanigans.
It's fun, it's heartwarming, it's good ol' fashioned cinema. Don't worry if you haven't seen it yet, there's still plenty of time...
