10 Times Doctor Who Actors Took On Another Cult Franchise

4. David Tennant In Star Wars

He cast his spell on the world of Harry Potter, he's about to take over Netflix as the villain in a new Marvel series and he's widely regarded as one of the most popular Doctors of all time. Is there anything even left for David Tennant to do? Well, yes there was, apparently, because in 2012 he contributed to yet another of the world€™s most formidable sci-fi franchises when he lent his voice to the role of Huyang in the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars. Although he has only guest starred in two episodes to date, his character was an ancient, wise droid who oversaw the building of lightsabers by Jedi younglings which probably means nothing if you€™re not down with the lingo. It basically means that he was a major addition to the Star Wars mythos indeed. In fact, his performance even won him in Emmy for Performer in an Animated Program in 2013 so that's yet another gong for him to add to his ever growing trophy cabinet. Let's hope it's bigger on the inside, eh? Oh, and don't worry. This is the last time David will be appearing on this list. Probably.
