10 Unused Villains For DC Movies (And Who Should Play Them)

1. Darkseid (Charles Dance)

One thing that the DC Extended Universe really needs is an equivalent to the Marvel Cinematic Universe€™s overarching evildoer Thanos. Since 2012€™s The Avengers, we€™ve been waiting to see Thanos in full villainous action. Many audience members are willing to fork out for multiple cinema tickets to see this mega arc pay off. Warner Bros will want to install a similar reason for cinema-goers to come back time and again. In the comics, DC€™s throne-sitting cosmic bad guy Darkseid predated Marvel€™s copycat creation Thanos. Marvel Studios managed to get Thanos into cinemas first, though, meaning that DC Entertainment are now the ones playing catch-up. Regardless, Darkseid is too good a villain for Warner Bros and DC Entertainment to ignore. The godlike ruler of the burning planet Apokolips, Darkseid is essentially an all-powerful villain who boasts pretty much every superpower going. (He can even erase people from existence.) He€™s tried to destroy/take over the universe on multiple occasions, proving to be a formidable foe to even combined legions of superheroes. In a movie, you€™d want a voice actor who could snarl orders and threaten superheroes while possessing an air of gravitas that would stop Darkseid from looking silly. Charles Dance proved in Game Of Thrones that he was more than up to the task, so he€™d be the ideal candidate for Warner Bros to call. Which villains do you want to see in the DC movies?
