10 Upcoming Horror Movie Rumours We Hope Are True
7. JJ Abrams’ Constantine
Beloved by comic fans, stoic nineties anti-hero John Constantine has thus far had a hard time transferring his demon-slaying fame to the screen (big or small).
Keanu Reeves played the taciturn demon-hunter in a largely successful 2005 flick which nonetheless didn’t blow any minds or win over many new converts to the franchise, and 2014 saw the character revived with a new actor for a stylish but short-lived NBC TV adaptation.
However, rumours now abound that hitmaker/ universally beloved and not at all controversial figure JJ Abrams may be rebooting the character for another big screen outing. It's very early days on this one and as such there's no word yet on whether there’s any truth to this.
However it's worth noting that, in case the creators don’t go down the recasting route, the ageless star of the John Wick series and the upcoming Bill and Ted reboot did recently say he had a blast as the character and would love to revisit the role if given the chance.
