10 Upcoming Horror Movie Rumours We Hope Are True
6. Tommy Doyle’s Triumphant Return
Remember that unfortunate kid who embattled babysitter/ original iconic final girl Laurie Strode was looking after the Night HE Came Home?
No? Yeah that's fair, you really need to be a Halloween superfan for this rumour to have its full potential impact.
But, as those of you who are mad about Assault on Precinct 13 director John Carpenter's slasher classic and its subsequent sequels of, er, varying quality will know, Tommy Doyle is a little-seen character who played a pivotal role in the history of screen horror (like poor Ben Traymor, RIP).
The kid Laurie saved from being sliced and diced by mute monster/ not Canadian comedy star Michael Myers grew up to be the deuteragonist of 1995’s much-maligned sequel Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, wherein he was played by none other than then-rising star Paul Rudd.
Whilst Rudd may be busy rebooting another beloved horror franchise with Ghostbusters: Afterlife, rumours suggest that Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green’s upcoming Halloween Kills will see the triumphant return of Tommy to do battle with Michael once again.
