Now it's early days for this one, and the claim comes with a disclaimer that the helmer involved hasn't actually finished a film since 2014's stylish fantasy re-do of Beauty and the Beast starring a perfectly cast Vincent Cassell as the titular character (the beast, not the beauty).

But this is an article of rumour mill material, so even if things are unconfirmed as of yet, some stories are exciting enough to be worth reporting regardless.

Brotherhood of the Wolf helmer Christophe Gans has recently teased his return to the horror genre via a belated follow-up to his, er, divisive 2006 adaptation of the mega popular Playstation franchise Silent Hill.

The art-y helmer claims he plans on revisiting Silent Hill in news which should excite the many fans who argue that his deeply creepy adaptation remains an underrated slice of noughties psychological horror. The 2006 movie didn't win over many critics upon release, but its strange and grotesque visual style has since won over a lot of late arrival fans who argue its thin story is no deterrent from its hypnotic appeal.
