10 Upcoming Movies That Have Just Been Delayed
6. The Legend Of Aang: The Last Airbender
When Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 was delayed, it unfortunately wasn't the only picture Paramount pushed back. At the same time, the studio also announced that The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender would also be delayed.
Similar to how X-Men: '97 continued the beloved animated series from the '90s, The Legend of Aang will pick up several years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which ended with season three in 2005. Essentially the television equivalent of a legacy sequel, anticipation for this movie is naturally high.
Unlike X-Men: '97, the bulk of the original voice actors are not returning, with the exception of Dante Basco as Zuko. However, there has been some undeniable star power added to the ranks by Dave Bautista and Steven Yeun, both in currently undisclosed roles.
Unfortunately, audiences will have to wait a further ten months for the story to continue. Originally slated to release in January 2026, The Legend of Aang has been pushed back and will now take Mutant Mayhem 2's original release date of 9th October 2026. Though there has been the live-action version of the property released on Netflix, this will likely be of little condolence to those who are now having to wait even longer for the animated Aang to return.
