For what feels like the 100th time since Rise of Skywalker's lacklustre concluding of the Skywalker Saga, yet another Star Wars big-screen project has just been announced.

Whether or not this one also finds itself swirling around in development hell for the next few years remains to be seen. But the Damien Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson-penned next cinematic adventure in a galaxy far, far away, being helmed by Ms. Marvel's Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, does at least appear to boast one rather intriguing element; that being the potential return of characters from the Sequel Trilogy.

Yet, one actor Star Wars fans shouldn't expect to see rock up in this standalone tale set after the events of Episode IX is none other than Finn himself, John Boyega.

The British star recently went on record to Sirius XM's Tell Me Everything With John Fugelsang to say that “at this point I’m cool off it. I’m good off it," in regards to playing the former Stormtrooper again.

And Boyega's further comments of wanting to pursue "versatility" after his public blasting of Disney's treatment of Finn throughout the Sequels seems to pretty much confirm this fiercely talented star won't be stepping back into the galaxy far, far away any time soon.
