Back to something a bit more cheerful, and available folks, for 99p on the dot! The Mountain of the Cannibal God. The first of three cannibal films in the list and the only one to boast a genuine star cast - Ursula Andress and Stacy Keach (Giovanni Lombardo Radice - may be the king of cannibal films but his fame is limited to us cult movie fans). The Mountain of the Cannibal God is quite a fun little adventure movie that exploits all of the cliches of the cannibal film to the max. Ursula wants to find her missing Anthropologist hubby and enlists the assistance of a couple of people to go to the mountain Ra Ra Me to find him. Of course, they are captured by cannibals who turn Ursula Andress into a goddess (you don't seriously think it would be in her contract to be torn to shreds and munched upon, do you? Her name isn't Me Me Lai). She eventually escapes with some dude while the others become cannibal chow. For a while this seemed to be the only film in The Horror Film Channel's 'semi-decent' oeuvre - it was repeated to death. I still think they sneak it into their schedule occasionally. If you haven't already Sky Plussed it, you could spend your 99p on a lot worse.
