10 Villains Better For Ben Affleck’s Solo Batman Movie
2. Red Hood
This is one of the villains who could make things truly personal, and really tie into what we already know of this Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Ever since we had that shot of Robin's costume - complete with the 'HAHAHA! Joke's on you Batman!' message - it's been speculated that the DCEU was building towards the introduction of Jason Todd, aka Red Hood.
Having the resurrected Todd return and wreak havoc on Gotham, causing a rivalry with The Bat, allows for the emotional stakes that are already a part of this Batman's history to be raised further, allow him to conduct some detective work, pose a really compelling ideological challenge, and bring in the Joker and Harley Quinn for a rather meaty storyline as well.
Red Hood isn't an outright villain, so would make for a deeper, more well-rounded figure, and with a Batman who already kills, show the hero just how far he could go. Affleck may be doing a new story, but drawing inspiration from Under The Red Hood and Death In The Family, and giving it his own twist, would be the makings of a great solo Batman outing.
