10 Villains Who Need To Appear In MCU Phase 4

3. Nightmare

Nightmare In Doctor Strange Marvel Comic
Marvel

Doctor Strange is one of the most fascinating characters in the MCU when it comes to what villains the Sorcerer Supreme could bring to the table.

Already we've seen Dormammu and the start of Baron Mordo's heel turn (hey, wrestling fans!), but one of Strange's other most infamous foes is the ominously-named Nightmare.

Not to go all Batman Begins on the MCU, but Nightmare is a character who lives and breathes fear. As it happens, so tied to the notion of fear is he, he is actually one of the Fear Lords group that's made up of seven of the most evil rogues in Marvel Comics.

Then again, Nightmare has often proved to be such a complete bastard of the highest order, even the Fear Lords have turned against him once they realise just how cutthroat he can be.

With a penchant for the theatrical, a love of torture, and the ability to teleport and conjure up all manner of devious illusions, Nightmare is ripe for a cinematic butting of heads with Doctor Strange - especially with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness looking to embrace the darker corners of Marvel Comics.
