10 Ways The DCEU Films Nearly Turned Out Completely Different

In 2012, Will Beall was hired to write the script for Justice League. This was one year after production began on Man of Steel so it's clear this movie was meant to be a part of the DCEU.

First revealed by The Wrap, this Justice League would've been the craziest film ever. The first scene included Batman, Superman, KGBeast, Killer Croc, and DeSaad. (If that sounds nuts, that's only the beginning.) The plot itself revolves around Darkseid's general, Steppenwolf, kidnapping Superman and using his power to destroy 80% of the world's population, crippling mankind.

The story then jumps 11 years later where Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor join forces to reverse time to ensure Darkseid never turns Supes into a weapon. It would've concluded with the heroes emerging victorious but Lex learning of Superman's secret identity.

The film would've included a staggering cast including Deathstroke, Cheetah, Solomon Grundy, Hawkman, Tattooed Man, Copperhead, and some of the iconic Green Lanterns. It also would've included Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman's son, Clark Wayne!

It's hard to say whether this Justice League would've been better or worse than what we got. But it definitely would've been like nothing else we have seen before.
