Of course, Department K can be established off-screen as could their Team X. Though we've already seen one incarnation of Team X in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, survey says that no fan would complain if the MCU took a crack at it.

If Ryan Reynolds had his way prior to Disney's acquisition of Fox, he would have moved forward with an X-Force movie before Deadpool 3, believing that the character worked better in a group setting. He's 100 percent correct — there are only so many one-on-ones the audience can have with Deadpool before it gets repetitive.

Having Deadpool enter in an ensemble helps the MCU grow in new ways and give depth to the mutant world. Team X could introduce any number of Weapon X "graduates". Wolverine aside, Sabretooth, Silver Fox, Agent Zero, and X-23 can be rebooted in this context while other, lesser-known characters can make their debuts.
