Sam Raimi has a habit of putting his old filmmaker pals in his movies, and legendary director John Landis (The Blues Brothers, An American Werewolf in London) therefore has a quick cameo in Spider-Man 2, playing a demented-looking doctor performing surgery on Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) ahead of his tentacled rampage.

If you know what Landis looks like - and many do - he's easy enough to spot, yet so fleeting you'll miss him if you glance at your phone or even blink at the wrong moment.

Landis previously had a cameo in Raimi's 1990 superhero flick Darkman, ironically also playing a hospital staff member.
