If ever there was a US President who was absolutely ripe for parody it would be George W. Bush. Famous for regularly stumbling over his words and coming across as something of a doofus, Bush presided over one of the more difficult periods of recent American history and never quite escaped the mockery that followed him for practically his entire time in office.

The fact that he was apparently an alcoholic in his younger days and has been accused of being a drug user by some only added fuel to that particular fire and it is likely this that inspired his appearance in Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay.

In the climax of the film, the duo crash into Bush's Texas home and get hurried away by the man himself when Dick Cheney comes calling. The trio then proceed to get completely stoned when it turns out that Bush is a pot smoker, and it is this bonding session that leads to Harold and Kumar's names being cleared after they receive a Presidential Pardon.
