10 Worst CGI Effects In Superhero Films

6. Wesley Snipes' CGI Eyes – Blade: Trinity

This one is almost hard to believe. Actor Wesley Snipes didn’t have the greatest relationship with director David S. Goyer on the set of Blade: Trinity, the third and final movie in the Blade trilogy. Snipes was often reluctant to go on set, and got a body double to do many of his wide shots, with himself only coming out to do necessary close-ups.

This culminated with Snipes refusing to open his eyes for a scene in which Blade needed to, well, open his eyes. To compensate for this, the effects team were forced to use CGI to give the impression that the actor was opening his eyes. While the shot passes by quickly, once you notice it, you can’t unsee it.

Even after the movie had long wrapped up production, Snipes still had a bone to pick with New Line Cinema and Goyer, as he sued both of them on the pretence that he had been side-lined during the making of the movie.

Nowhere is this resentment more apparent than in a pair of CGI eyes.
