10 Worst Fox Marvel Movies

1. Fantastic Four (2015)

Let's keep this simple: Even compared to an utter trainwreck like X-Men Origins or a boring slog like Elektra, Josh Trank's Fantastic Four is just abysmal. The film's production woes are a thing of infamy now, things having gotten so bad that Trank lost a sweet gig directing a Boba Fett movie for Lucasfilm because of his antics behind the scenes here.

Say what you will about Fox's first two Fantastic Four films, at least they recognized that these heroes are not meant to exist in a dark, gritty, joyless world, something that the 2015 reboot swung for and missed completely. It's not pleasant to watch in any way, from the story itself to the visuals, squandering all sorts of potential it had by being able to recognize why its predecessors weren't received warmly.

The fact that Fox failed to succeed with the Fantastic Four - and their iconic villain Doctor Doom - three times in ten years is rather impressive, standing as Fox's worst Marvel movie simply because of how monumental a failure it is, and hopefully in time their return home to Marvel Studios can follow in Daredevil's footsteps in finally giving these characters their due.
