10 Worst Performances In Comic Book Movies
8. Tommy Lee Jones - Two-Face (Batman Forever)
In terms of Batman villains, Two-Face is one of the most complex characters an actor can attempt to pull off. Much like the character's coin, an actor has to really push themselves in order to balance the sympathetic side of Harvey Dent with the cold-blooded persona of his villainous alter-ego. Or if you're Tommy Lee Jones... just ham it up and hope for the best I guess.
Given that Jones' bad relationship with Jim Carrey was well-documented at the time, it's very possible that this performance might be the most ingenious way of trolling his colleague, but it doesn't make it that interesting to watch.
From the minute he comes onscreen, the neon-colored makeup on his face and one-liners he spews out makes Jones look like a man who thought he was supposed to play the Joker, which did a real disservice to Two-Face's character.
