10 X-Men Villains That Could Follow Apocalypse (And Who Should Play Them)

4. Stryfe (Ron Perlman)

Styfe is the evil clone of Cable (the time-travelling heroic mutant who€™s set to appear in Deadpool 2), so whoever ends up playing the latter could end up playing the former as well. Ron Perlman would be a great choice for both roles, seeing as he€™s trodden the line between good and evil before in both Hellboy and Hand Of God. While Cable is the righteous son of Cyclops sent to the future in order to stay alive, Stryfe is his clone that gets adopted by the super-villain Apocalypse. He€™s raised as an heir to the immortal evildoer, and grows into an unhinged and embittered madman (the type of character Perlman would thrive with) with telekinetic and telepathic abilities. He€™s a key player in some of the darkest storylines in comics, too. He raised an army of mutant terrorists more than once, and sought to become the despot atop a global dictatorship after Apocalypse was deposed. His attacks were personal, as well: he once raped Cable€™s wife. Stryfe could be a truly frightening villain for the cinematic X-Men off against, be that in a straight-up X-Men movie, a Deadpool crossover or and X-Force spin-off movie (or a multi-film mix of all three). Wherever Fox chose to fit him, a villain is unrelentingly cruel as Stryfe is bound to make an impact.
