10 X-Men Villains Who Should Appear In The Movies

3. Arcade

So how did a villain with no actual superpowers make it this far up the list? Arcade has plagued the X-Men consistently since the 1980's, trapping numerous members in underground amusement parks that he affectionately calls Murderworlds. Each is usually brightly garbed and has a cheery appearance, but underneath the comedic trappings lies a number of death traps specifically designed to exploit the weaknesses of whichever hero has been targeted for assassination. As previously mentioned, Arcade has no superhuman abilities to speak of, but his knowledge of robotics and engineering is incredibly advanced and it is this knowledge which makes each Murderworld so deadly for our costumed heroes. Whenever it appears that the hit-man has been defeated and captured, it usually turns out that he's actually escaped and left a robotic double in his place to ensure the secrets of his employees are never revealed. The character of Arcade is similar to Mojo in some respects, but his human origins would be far more accessible to mainstream audiences on a movie scale and he would definitely be easier to adapt than a transdimensional media-obsessed alien. Parallels to The Hunger Games franchise would still be a slight issue, but Arcade is an extremely charismatic character who can stand on his own two feet and the themes of the Murderworlds could take on a completely different vibe to anything seen in The Hunger Games series.
