6. Sean Bean is Liquid Snake
As long as he can keep the Yorkshire accent at bay - and we know he can - Sean Bean would be a fab fit as Solid Snake's twisted twin brother Liquid Snake. As well as bearing enough of a resemblance to Christian Bale that their twin connection wouldn't seem too implausible, Bean also looks great with long hair - as we can tell from his work in both
Lord of the Rings and
Game of Thrones - and would be able to find the right mix of stoicism and intensity when the time calls for it. Whether he can defer to the received pronunciation that characterised Liquid remains to be seen, but that notwithstanding, he would be a ripe choice, and as well know, he has had plenty of experience playing the villain throughout his career. It does mean he'll have yet another death on his CV, though.
