11 Ways Age Of Ultron Could Still Surprise Everyone

3. Hulk Could Be Sent Into Space

For many people, the lack of a Planet Hulk movie (or at least a Hulk movie of some description) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3 announcement was a shock. The Hulk has only had one solo movie in this franchise to date, while the likes of Iron Man (three), Captain America (two) and Thor (two) have each had more, with the latter pairing both having another on the way. In spite of that fact, Avengers: Age of Ultron may well surprise audiences by triggering an event that could make the Hulk the focal point of an upcoming movie, even though he's not the titular character. Bruce Banner's alter-ego is set to cause a lot of destruction in Age of Ultron and, even though it won't be his fault (Scarlet Witch looks set to control him), the other Avengers may well see him as a liability who is too easy to manipulate for evil means. With that in mind, he could be sent into space as a safety precaution. There are hints (including some spawning from toylines) that show the Hulk being encased in a device not dissimilar to the one he was encased in during the Planet Hulk storyline and there is a rumour he may well appear in the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel in a Planet Hulk-style sub-plot.
