11 Ways Age Of Ultron Could Still Surprise Everyone

2. Spider-Man Might Appear

Screen testing is apparently under way for the role of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just this week, 16-year-old Hostages and Weeds star Mateus Ward has reportedly been auditioned, along with several other actors around his age - could this be with rushing a last-minute appearance by the character in a mid-credits or post-credits scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron in mind? The character has been widely expected to appear for the first time in next year's Captain America: Civil War, but if Marvel are looking to smash the box office takings of the first Avengers movie, surprising audiences with such a huge character's first appearance in Age of Ultron could be a great way to put even more bums on cinema seats. The scene could be as simple as showing Peter Parker getting bitten by a spider - a quick way to get his origin out of the way in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (because, really, nobody wants to see a dragged-out version of that again) - and would set him up nicely to be a fully-fledged and established hero come the release of the Civil War movie.
