12 Batman Movie Mistakes You Can Never Unsee

11. Vanishing Henchman Handprints

The Joker makes so many appearances on this list that a more generous commentator might think he planned half of these goofs.

This one in particular seems like the sort of nifty parlour trick that Shining star and king of sleazy grins Jack Nicholson’s more broadly comic version of the character would traffic in, but without an in-film explanation, we’re going to guess that’s a coincidence.

About halfway through Burton’s first flick directing Bruce Wayne and co, his infamous nemesis sets his henchmen to work destroying a Gotham museum, with one particularly enthusiastic customer daubing handprints all over a painting in the Koker’s signature purple.

Only a few minutes later, when Nicholson’s villain paces through the place, he passes the same painting in the same spot, miraculously undamaged.
